Mijn vriendin is al jarenlang vrijwilligster bij een kringloopwinkel, en ondertussen is de afdeling huishoud haar afdeling geworden. En zelfs bij de krinloopwinkel komen ze vrijwilligers(sters) tekort. Ze mag me bellen wanneer er vrijwilligers te kort zijn, en bij bijzondere gelegenheden zoals kerst en nu dan pasen. De paastafel moet ingericht worden en dan kunnen ze altijd wel een paar extra handen gebruiken. My girlfriend is for already many years volunteer at a the thriftshop, and in the meantime the department household has become her department . At the thriftshop they even had too shorp volunteers . She can me ring when there are volunteers too short, and at particular occasions such as Christmas and now then Easter. The eastetable must become arranged and then they can always use a couple of extra hands.
Het is gezellig met elkaar en voor een verzamelaar als ik ben, natuurlijk ook het walhalla. Het is maar goed dat mijn vriendin de huishoudafdeling onder haar hoede heeft en niet de afdeling curiosa anders zou mijn auto waarschijnlijk bezwijken onder de last van de vele aankopen die ik dan zou doen. De kringloop bevindt zich in een oud schoolgebouw en in ieder klasje is een afdeling onder gebracht. Curiosa, platen, boeken, huishoud, handwerken, speelgoed, electra, lampen, een koffiecorner en meubels. Wanneer er niemand aanwezig is op 1 van de afdelingen is de regel dat er ook niet gekocht kan worden. De curiosa is op vrijdag niet aanwezig dus geen gesnuffel en geen auto die van de weg word gehaald omdat ie te zwaar beladen is. It is sociable with each other and for a collector as I am, also the walhalla. It is but well that my girlfriend has the house keeping department under its charge and not the department bric-a-brac differently my car would succumb probably under the charge of the many purchases which I would do then. The thriftshop is assigned in an old school building. and in every class a department has been brought under. Bric-a-brac, plates, books, household, hand work, toys, electra, lamps, a coffee corner and pieces of furniture. When there is nobody present on 1 of the departments is the rule that there cannot be bought also. The bric-a-brac is not on Friday present therefore no gesnuffel and no car which is obtained of the way becauseit is load too heavily.
Maar al met al ga ik bijna nooit met lege handen naar huis. Ik ga altijd even een bezoekje brengen aan de dames van de handwerk (genaamd de breibeppen). Soms vind ik daar knoopjes, lintjes, lapjes, wol of handwerkboekjes. En op de huishoudafdeling komen toch ook heel wat leuke spullen voorbij.
But all in all I never go home with an empty bag. I will always bring a visit to the ladies of the hand work (called the breibeppen). Sometimes I find there buttons, fabric, lace, wool or books. And at the household department nevertheless there also past a lot of nice stuff.
Al met al een gezellige en productieve ochtend. Want wat een spullen worden er iedere week weer binnengebracht.
De opbrengsten van deze krinloopwinkel worden besteed aan projecten in Roemenie en de Oekraine. Waar de inwoners van deze landen nog in armoede leven. Het is fijn om te zien, in de koffiecorner hangen foto's van de projecten, dat er zoveel goed wordt gedaan met geld dat bijeengebracht is door de verkoop van spullen die wij niet meer in onze kast willen hebben en/of niet meer gebruiken.The turnovers of these thriftshopl are spent on projects in Romania and the Ukraine. Where the inhabitants of these countries still live in poverty. It is fine to see, in the coffee corner are hanging pictures of the projects, which so much is well done with money which is raised by stuff we want no longer in our cupboard and/or are no longer used by us.
